MattandWigmen Even if you've already seen this video titled, Where the Hell is Matt?, it's a nice reminder to be lighter on your feet – and in your mind.  I'm going to share it with my middle school groups – I think they'll get a kick out of it – they like to dance in class when we're playing games, so maybe this will inspire some impromptu movement AND discussion!  The poem is marvelous too.

The music in the video comes from the poem Praan (Bengali for prana) from Rabrindrath Tagore's Gitanjali. Tagore translated praan as "stream of life."

Here's his English translation (from http://www.schoolofwisdom.com/gitanjali.html)

Stream of Life

The same stream of life that runs through my veins night and day

runs through the world and dances in rhythmic measures.

It is the same life that shoots in joy through the dust of the earth
in numberless blades of grass

and breaks into tumultuous waves of leaves and flowers.

It is the same life that is rocked in the ocean-cradle of birth

and of death, in ebb and in flow.

And my pride is from the life-throb of ages dancing in my blood this moment.

Go ahead – watch it and feel the 'praan'!

Namaste,
